BiciSport extends its condolences to the family and friends of Alban McGuinness who recently passed away. Alban was a long time member of Northern Sydney CC and in more recents years was an active member of Waratah Masters CC. Alban was active behind the scenes promoting and supporting masters cycling and instrumental in original website development for Cycling NSW.
Erik was a long time North Sydney & BiciSport club member. In more recent times Erik was a Waratah Masters member, and a highly regarded A grade road rider in both criteriums and road races. Taken by cancer in late September 2011 way before his time, Erik will be missed by all those who knew him.
Ross was a long time supporter of northside cycle racing, and was killed at a cycle race at Kooragang Island near Newcastle in early July 2011. Ross was a Winter Olympian (to Grenoble in 1968) and was a tireless worker for all things cyclesport and road safety on the northside. A great bloke, who was taken way too early.
Graham Jones was a long time member of both BiciSport and Manly Clubs, and an active rider in the Masters Division (both as a rider & event organiser). Graham was tragically killed in the early morning while out training near Chatswood on Sunday 10 November 02.
To celebrate Graham's contribution to the Northern Beaches community the Narrabeen Lagoon walking & cycle track was named in his honour on 16 September 2016.
