West Head “The Wall” @ 13 Dec - Some great riding by Darren Benson (for 8th), Gio Pilu (second peloton) and Rolly Delaytz. Five laps of the West Head road is no mean feat. The various handicap groups came together on the last lap for a backmarkers victory. Thanks to Manly CC for organising a great day out.
Waratah Masters @ Heffron Park @ 13 Dec - Raoul Westbrook flew the BiciSport flag in D grade for a sytong peloton finish in a more difficult Heffron event than normal.

Fassa Bortolo Professional Cycling Team. Fassa Bortolo was (is) a concrete manufacturer in Italy. Frames were Pinarello and groupsets were Campagnolo.
The team ran from 2000-2005 and dubbed the “Silver Team”. Team manager was Giancarlo Ferretti. The Silver Team won over 200 races … the concrete was hard, they raced hard & everywhere, and they won a lot & everywhere.
The team roster had current stars (for the period 2000-2005) but also contained numerous riders who became household names in future teams …. Vincenzo Nibali, Fabio Baldato, Dario Frigo, Aitor Gonzalez, Juan Antonio Flecha, Massimo Codol, Fabian Cancellara, Ivan Basso, Alessandro Petacchi, Filippo Pozzato & Frank Vandenbroucke …. numerous notables in that interesting team listing.
