NSW MASTERS ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS
For 2020 the NSW Masters Road Championships head for Singleton with the Individual Time Trial on the Friday, the Road Races on the Saturday (around the well known Team Time Trial course) and Criteriums on a new circuit at Broke (near Pokolbin). The date is 9-11 October.

The relatively smaller club events have restarted (at Heffron Park, Southern Highlands, Lansdowne Park, Eastern Creek, Penrith, Parramatta & West Head) but the larger promotions and cyclosportives remain in the Covid hurt box. It would be fair to say that mass participation events (with more than 500 starters) have an ongoing problem at present.

Bianchi # 1 - Fausto Coppi in the 1948 Tour of Lombardy climbing the Madonna de Ghisallo going past the IL Perlo Hotel (high above Lake Como). The Hotel was built in 1922.

Bianchi # 3 - The Bianchi team started in 1899 ! !. with sponsorship periods from 1905-66, then 1973-84, then individual years in 1993 & 2003 and are now the frame supplier to Jumbo Visma professional team.
Sub sponsors were Pirelli (tyres), Campagnolo (of course), Faema (coffee) & Piaggio (motorbikes). Fausto Coppi was supreme as the team leader and one of the greatest cyclists of all time.
Bianchi # 4 - Felice Gimondi was a legend in the sport with numerous classic victories in the Giro, Tour de France, World Professional Road Championships, Italian National Road Championships, Milan San Remo & Baracchi Trophy
