BICISPORT MEMBER NEWS

  • Friday Night Track Racing @ DGV @ 28 Aug - FNTR has returned with a new promoter and its great to see DGV winter track racing back until early October. David Browne rode well in B grade and placed in nearly every event. Fields were excellent for the first night of the six week series.

  • Waratah Masters @ Lansdowne @ 30 Aug - Raoul Westbrook was 4th in D grade from 16 starters. Nice job.

  • Recovery Ward - Been a poor few weeks for rider injuries with Frank Signor (ribs), and now Jock Young (shoulder) plus 83 year old Noel Larose (ribs) after an off on the Homebush bike lanes near Parramatta River. Best wishes to Jock & Noel

RACE KEEPER or RACE SEEKER or RACE EXECUTIONER

  • The relatively smaller club events have restarted (at Heffron Park, Southern Highlands, Lansdowne Park, Eastern Creek, Penrith, Parramatta & West Head) but the larger promotions and cyclosportives remain in the Covid hurt box. It would be fair to say that mass participation events (with more than 500 starters) have an ongoing problem at present.
