DAF Professional Cycling Team - 1979-83Dutch to the core and a strange sponsorship mix of DAF (truck manufacturer), Cote D’Or (chocolates) and TeVe Blad (a weekly TV magazine). Framesets were either Lejeune, Gazelle or Rossin, with Campagnolo the groupset of choice. Team management was legendary Fred De Bruyne and Jose De Cauwer. Team membership was loaded with talent and results flowed - Gerrie Van Gerwen (World Amateur Road Champion), Rene Martens (won Tour of Flanders 1982), Luc Colijn, Guy Nulens, Eddy Schepers, Willy Tackert, Guido Van Calster, Roger De Vlaeminck (pictured above as Belgian Champion), Adri Van Der Poel, Rik Van Linden, Dirk Heirweg & Hennie Kuiper (won both Tour of Flanders and Tour of Lombardy in 1981).
