  • National Cyclo Cross Championship & Series Round 7 @ King Valley Wangaratta @ 10-11 Aug - Mike Lawson defended his National Masters (M8) Championship on the Saturday at the Sam Miranda Winery in the King Valley. Mike challenged his old nemesis from his MTB days as they passed and re-passed each other at least 15 times during the Championship. Mike kicked away in the last 5 minutes to take the win by 23 seconds Mike backed up on the Sunday (in heavy mud after overnight rain) to take out Round 7 of the National Series.

  • Calga 100k Handicap @ 11 August - Eric Dole competed in cold & windy conditions in a very tough day in the cycling office at Calga. Numbers were down due to the adverse conditions but A grade was 16 riders strong with several NRS riders on the start list. B grade caught C grade at the 65k mark, with A grade joining the front group at the 75k mark. A grade charged through the field and the peloton exploded as it was carnage with riders dropped everywhere with the majority pulling out at the 82k mark. Eric won the KOM (King of the Mountain prize on lap 2). Vive Le Republic ! !
