Giro 1988 # 1 - The Gavia Pass was first used in the Giro in 1960. Its been 32 years since the Giro went over the Gavia Pass in 1988 in a freakish snow storm on the way to the Bormio stage finish.

Belgian professional teams circa 1986 - this time its the kermesse focused TeVe-blad team sitting atop a team Citroen.
TeVe-blad as the name implies was the Belgian weekly TV magazine at the time (like our own TV Times magazine). Eddy Merckx supplied the frames & Campagnolo the groupsets.
