BICISPORT MEMBER RACE NEWS

  • Waratah Masters @ Lansdowne @ 5 July - Ian Grainger rode well in C grade but acknowledged those who spent the Covid period active on Swift & Strava and those who maybe cycled to coffee shops … By all accounts it was a good turn up & great to see racing back again

COVID 19 & NORTHSIDE TRAFFIC HOTSPOTS - TRAFFIC VOLUMES UP 20%

  • Caution still needs to be exercised on traditional cycling roads like McCarrs Creek Rd towards Church Point, then into Akuna Bay & West Head. Traffic volumes are much higher than normal

  • Centennial Park remains very busy with car traffic volumes have increased 20% courtesy of Covid 19

SOME RACES NOT YET COVID APPROVED

  • Note that each race organiser needs to have approved COVID procedures from each local Council before races can proceed. So check on each club website to ensure that the club race has been COVID approved.

WARATAH MASTERS RESTART RACING

  • Waratah Masters have restarted their interclub racing at Landsowne Park

  • Only Lansdowne is currently COVID approved (not Eastern Creek as yet)

  • Note that non Waratah riders must pre-enter for the next period from July to December for the full period to get a start. Non Waratah riders cannot enter on a race by race basis and cash is not accepted.

  • Covid 19 Waratah race entry protocols are now listed in this website under Sydney Racing

CYCNSW SINGLETON TEAM TIME TRIAL -

TRAINING FROM 23 AUGUST & RACE DATE OF 7 NOVEMBER
