NEW CYCLING LAWS - A Total Public Relations Disaster

Whatever your opinion is on the new cycling laws before the cycling community, there is total agreement on the implementation, agreement and public relations strategy. It's a total shambles. Consultation with local clubs was virtually non existent and for some reason the "educational program" began with fining cyclists for the most menial of offences. The Variable Message Board on Military Rd said it all ... "Police Operation in Progress against cyclists". The whole "metre matters" strategy simply got lost in the public relations mess that followed.
